I am currently studying visual arts at Birmingham City University and I am in my final year. Most of my art work communicates my daily struggles with living with Aspergers and all the anxiety which goes along side the condition. I struggle to communicate on a social level with people so I use my skills in art to have my say and communicate the way I see the world.
I have recently exhibited my work in the Reveal 2 exhibition, exploring the link between art and autism. This was held in the G2 gallery in Solihull Birmingham. I was also a winner in the National Beechwood College Create Art for Autism competition which was held last year. http://www.beechwoodcollege.co.uk/news/2011/07/21/create-art-for-autism-finalists-2011/
http://www.beechwoodcollege.co.uk/news/2011/07/26/beechwood-college-announces-winners-of-national-art-competition-celebrating-the-creativity-of-young-people-with-autism/esther-whitney-winner-3d-category-2/
My art work is about bringing more awareness and to educate people about what it is like to have an autistic spectrum disorder. I was wonderin if you might be interested in seeing my work?Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17550561276206731484noreply@blogger.com
